Description:
Best Of British is a look back at some of Top
Gear’s finest encounters with the very best of British cars. And
sometimes the very worst.
As the name suggests, Top Gear: Best Of British is a celebration
of all manifestations of Finnish folk dancing from the haunting
raisikipi and the delicate kestipilla to the bewitching majesty
of the runkiapunkipilliapu in all its many forms.
Not really. Best Of British is actually a look back at some of
Top Gear’s finest encounters with the very best of British cars.
And sometimes the very worst.
Within this lavishly crafted plastic box you will find Bentleys,
Morgans, Rolls-Royces, Lotuses and the glorious Jensen
Interceptor. On a slightly less glamorous note, there’s also the
British Leyland Challenge in which Jeremy, Richard and James try
to prove that the strike-prone 1970s behemoth actually made one
or two good cars. And when you’ve had your fill of rust and
despair you can move on to the presenters’ flag-waving
celebration of all that is great about car-building in Blighty,
ending with a spectacular, tear-jerking line-up of British-made
metal on The Mall.
This DVD is best watched whilst wearing Union Jack underpants.

Jeremy Clarkson |
Jeremy has often been described
as ‘the most influential man in motoring journalism', mainly by
himself.
Estimates suggest that he is
slightly over nine feet tall, owns 14,000 pairs of jeans and has
destroyed almost 4.2 million tyres in his lifetime.
He is best known for possessing a
right foot apparently consisting of some sort of lead-based
substance, for creating some of the most tortured similes ever
committed to television, and for leaving the world's longest pauses
between two parts... of the same sentence.
He has never taken public
transport.

Richard Hammond |
Richard started off his career in
hospital radio, before graduating to a presenting slot on popular
cable channel 'Cars and Boobs TV'.
Since then, his telly career has
blossomed: at one point, it was possible to turn on your TV and see
Richard on every channel at any time of day.
Despite this, he still finds time
to appear on a second-rate motoring show on BBC Two, in which he can
usually be found volunteering for stupidly dangerous challenges on
the promise of a bag of crisps... or a 2am take-away kebab!

James May |
James is a man of many and varied
talents.
He is the only person in the world who understands how ‘torques'
work, once invented a new kind of pie, and has single-handedly kept
the tweed industry afloat for the last two decades.
He also has sensitive hair, an array of brightly coloured jumpers,
and a deep and unswayable mistrust of the French.
He likes his cars in two flavours:
- giant luxury land yachts favoured by larger-than-life
cabaret singers and dictators,
- and tiny cheap super-minis. |

playable on all Region 4 DVD players. But may not play on devices
such as X-Box, PC's. Mac's and Playstations.

IMPORTANT DVD INFORMATION FOR MY US &
CANADIAN CUSTOMERS:
As per the auction these are Europe Region 2
DVDs (US/Canada are Region 1) and
you need a multi-regional (multi-zone) DVD
player to play them!
BUT don't panic just yet :-)
Many DVD players are easy to unlock.
Let me know the brand and model number of your DVD player so I see if
there is a simple unlock code for your player.
Many of my US/Canadian customers chose to play or copy these DVDs on a
PC before playing them.
I also see there are many economical Multi Region DVD players on EBay
($35-50).
Just do a search if you wish.
It seems a shame to let go of this great DVD set.
