THE BEST steering coupler AVAILABLE!

One of the most important parts on your VW is the steering coupler. Why? Because it's the only

thing connecting your steering column to the steering box. When they fail you can lose all steering

control - something you don't want to happen ever and especially not at highway speeds!

Original VW couplers had a back-up safety device in them, high-strength threading that

kept the coupler together enough when it failed to allow you to safely get your VW to the side of

the road. This is something urethane and other aftermarket couplers don't have but this

real German-made VW-brand coupler has it! These are a later style that VW used on

Vanagons so it may look a bit different than your original round coupler, but it fits and

works the same and VW superseded the older style to this one years ago.

This coupler does not come with any mounting hardware.

Applications :

Beetle 1950-1977 (1 required)

These do not fit Super Beetles as they did not use a coupler. Also, sometimes this coupler may have the VW emblem rubbed off - this is done by VW's manufacturer due to legal agreements with VW. These are not seconds or blems and the batches go back and forth having the emblem and intact or rubbed off so we can't guarantee whether you'll get a coupler with the emblem or not. Regardless - it's still the same part and the same quality!
