Ork Necron Tau Counts As Army Commission Services Warhammer 40k Looted Allied
About the Item
';document.write(flash_code);

THIS IS AN ADVERTISMENT FOR SERVICES:  White Metal Games specializes in kit bashing custom, one of a kind armies!  Such as this sample Nercron/Ork Looted army featured in the auction pictures.

WE ARE NOT SELLING THIS EXACT ARMY, but rather are using it as an example of the sorts of projects we like to do in the search for prospective buyers!

We enjoy building custom, one of a kind armies, for any model range but especially ranges like Warhammer, 40k, Warmahordes, and other 25-28mm scale wargames.  If you are the sort of player that likes your army to stand out on the tabletop, then you've come to the right place!

Let us tell you a little bit about the above army:  This was a one of a kind Warhammer 40,000 Army.  An Ork Looted Necron army!  This army was a collaborative project between our studio and Full of Monkey (aka Goatboy) Painting.  The army has been featured on Spikey Bitz as well as BOLS.  The army was over 4000 points and includes a varieties of units (listed below in detail) that can count as either Necrons or Orks.  In addition, in Unbound play, the army can count as both/either/or any of these choices, below.  This army represented long hours of works and hundreds of hours in custom and immeasurable kit bashing; a true labor of love.

Now we want to do it again!

We are looking for prospective clients with insane kit bashing concepts to cut our teeth on.  We have our own ideas, but we'd love to find a client with an idea for a project and the budget to see it done right.

Some of our concept ideas include, but are not limited to those below.  Make us an offer, contact us with details, and let us know what you have in mind!  Keep in mind that the bigger the army, the more it will cost.  We suggest a budget of at least $1500 upwards of $3000, but are willing to negotiate if we love the concept for the project.

To be clear the above army can be replicated, but we'd rather build you a custom list to preference, using your ideas and our bits boxes to make the army of your dreams into a reality!

We'd love to hear from you!

Space Marines Concept Armies

Project: The Infected/The Tainted

Concept: Space Marines/Imperial Guard exposed to Nurgle are infected are making the slow transformation to Plague Marines.  Think of it like 'The Strain meets 40k'.  Another idea might be a Deadspace themed Nurgle army.

Description:

This nameless chapter of Space Marines was exposed to the power of Nurgle and they have all contracted a wasting disease from which there is no cure. They are slowly making the painful transformation into Plague Marines. Their allies, the Imperial Guard, were likewise exposed. They could be played as either renegades or poor victims of circumstance.

The army will make extensive use of kit bashing and transfiguration. It will put an emphasis on creating custom plague marines, including distended torsos, spilled entrails, lesions, tumors, boils, pus, etc. It could involve kitbashing multiple chapters, who have painted their armor in such a way to denote their corruption, much like the Deathwatch. Perhaps they all wear black helmets, or shoulder pads, etc.

Chaos Cultists will represent rogue IG and multiple units of Chaos Zombies will be present. Likewise a 'count as' Typhus will be created possibly from a character such as Lysander or the like.

Playable Options: Chaos Space Marines (Nurgle), Space Marines with IG Allies

Estimated Cost: $3000 for around 2500 points.

Project: Deathwatch

Concept: The Deathwatch Chapter of Space Marines

Description:

Largely kit bashed using mixed bits, and alien relics, some xenos trophies. Army will be painted to the Deathcolor scheme. Each model will be unique/modified in some way, to reflect the highly elite nature of this chapter. Bits from ranges such as Dark Angels/Blood Angels/Space Wolves, etc will be used to create mixed squads of soldiers. For example, a squad might include a Space Wolf, a Dark Angel, a Salamander, etc.

What interests me with deathwatch is an entire chapter of marines, all drawn from different chapters, but each are the finest warriors their chapter has to offer. So we're talking the BEST of the BEST in the Imperium, all together under one banner.

From a modeling standpoint, this is ahance to show character on each individual model. In the attached picture we see an Ultrarmarine, to his left a Dark Angel with hood and such, and to his right a space wolf helmet on his deathwatch brother.

At the $2500 range, I'm envisioning the entire chapter being made up from Veteran Kits, such as Tyrannic War Veterans, Dark Angels Veterans, Space Marine Veterns (marks I and II), Vanguard Veterans, some Sternguard, and then throw in bits from every other range of marines, such as Blood Angels, Iron Hands, Ravenwing, etc. With the rules for Allies and Formations, you could have a Commander riding a thunderwolf, or Blood Angels Sanguinary guard serving as Jump Infantry, Ravenwing bikers, etc. Finding what each chapter is known for so well, and building the deathwatch chapter around these ideas.

At the $3000 range, we could add extra vehicles. Imagine an inducted Stormwolf or Baal Predator, a Furioso Dreadnought, or a Nephilim jetfighter serving in the Death Watch ranks. Maybe even an Imperial Knight with a big shoulder pad from their previous chapter of origin. Perhaps Salamanders At that scale, I could use some spare dragon bits from the fantasy range to make it look like this knight was a drake hunter!

In the $3500-$4000 range, I think working in the Inquisition would also be a good idea. Since the deathwatch is the militant chamber of the Order Xenos, why not adding an Inqusitior of a highly individual nature, and then adding in some Astram Militarum regiments as well, done up in the traditional reds of the Inquisition. Really this special is all about helping the client design their dream army around a central theme and then taking that theme as far as possible

Playable Options: Vanilla space marines with an emphasis on veterans

Estimate: Approx $2500 for 2000 points

Project: Pre-Heresy Army/Adeptus Custodes

Concept: A 30k army of Space Marines

Description: This army will incorporate large numbers of Forgeworld Pre-heresy models, as well as kitbashed miniatures represent Pre-Heresy Marines from a variety of ranges. It may include Jet bike cavalry, contemptor dreadnought, Adeptus Custodes converted from Grey Knights and Eldar bits, and a Primarch to lead the army.

Playable Options: 30k rules from the Forgeworld Imperial Armory line

Estimate: Roughly $3500-4000 for 2500 points

Project: Grail Knights/Knights Templars

Concept: A Black Templars project emphasizing the medieval theme

Description: This Black Templar army would feature extensive medieval fantasy themes, including tanks with mobile shrines, knights on horseback (counts as bikes), etc. Not a new trend, but we'd like to give it our own unique trend. Perhaps with a variant color scheme

Playable Options: Black Templars or Vanilla Marines

Estimate: $1750 for 2000 points

Project: Adeptus Mechanicus or Dark Mechanicus (preferably Dark)

Concept: An army consisting of tech priests from Mars and their servants

Description: This would be a heavily converted army from a variety of ranges, with extension transfiguration work. It would feature many Forgeworld pieces, including robots, walkers, and iron men. It would feature extensive kit bashing from the Dark Eldar, Necron, and Imperial Guard Lines. Paint scheme would incorporate traditional and extensive copper, red, and blue patinas.

Playable Options: Likely this army would be best served as either an Tau List with IG allies (for the Mechanicus) or a Necron army with Chaos Space Marine allies (for the Dark Mechanicus)

Estimate: $4000 for 2500 points

Project: Frost Giants

Concept: A more feral/barbaric Space Wolves army

Description: This chapter is a successor chapter of the Space Wolves. Their homeworld, like Fenris, is a ball of ice. However, they draw from the local populace for their recruits, and the often uses beasts of burden in place of vehicles. For example, they might ride Sabertooth tigers instead of thundewolves or bikes, use mammoths in place of tanks, and use cavemen in place of Fenrisian wolves, whom are just as feral and fast on their world.. Alternatively, dinosaurs/lizardmen could be used to the same purpose.

Playable Options: Space Wolves

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points

Project: Salamanders

Concept: A Salamanders army using extensive Dragon bits

Description: This army would be a Salamanders army, but would feature extensive Draconic/dragon bits from a variety of ranges, esp. the High Elf range from Warhammer.

Playable Options: Space Marines

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points

Project: Black Dragons (cursed founding)

Concept: A space marine assault themed army with draconic kit bashes

Description: The Black Dragons were a cursed chapter from the 21st Founding. They suffer a genetic mutation where they have talons jutting from their forearms in wolverine like fashion. These claws they dip in adamantium. This army would feature extensive assault marines using these clawed bio-weapons, with lord and heroes featured more draconic bits and possibly some draconic mutations.

Playable Options: Space Marines. Possibly Salamanders or Space Wolves.

Estimate: $2800 for 2000 points. This assumes multiple chapter options are utilized.

Radioactive Plague Marines

Concept: Nurgle Marines with heavy OSL

Description: This nurgle themed project would feature extensive OSL. This army would feature radioactive glowing bases, possibly with waste/sludge/storm drain style bases, or glowing rocks or some such. I envision a bright green or bright blue OSL featured for most of the project.

Playable Options: Chaos Space Marines with an emphasis on Plague Marines/Nurgle. Could be combined with 'The Infected' concept from the Space Marines lists to play as Space Marines.

Estimate: $1900 for 2000 points

Project: Soul Drinkers/Soul Reavers (Chaos version)

Concept: A Vampire Counts themed Fallen Angels/Blood Angels project

Description: This army would be based upon the Soul Drinkers chapter of space marines, but would take the 'Vampire Counts' theme to 11. It would use themes like spiders for bikers, bat wined heldrake, bat winged assault marines (gargoyle wings), a warp smith with an 'Organ' gun or helmaw cannon for a thunderfire cannon, skinwalkers (werewolves) for spawn, etc. The centerpiece of the army will be a spider lord/commander to count as Sarpedon. Ideally, it would featured a Haunted House/Manse style Fortress of Redemption and Gravestone Aegis lines

Playable Options: Blood Angels, Space Marines or Chaos Space Marines

Estimate: $3000 for 2000 points

Project: Crone World Army

Concept: Slaanesh Themed Eldar Cult army

Description: The Crone Worlds are those worlds that we closest to the Eye of Terror at the time of the Fall (the moment when Slaanesh was born). Some of the Eldar on these worlds have survived the ten millenia since the Fall, however, time has not been kind. These Eldar have been irrevocably changed and have now aligned themselves with the god Slaanesh, indulging every whim and desire. This army would have a slaanesh theme (possibly the Cleaved or Emperor's Children) with Eldar for cultist allies. Daemonettes and Wyches would be used to kit bash the Crones. We would also use Banshees from the Vampire Counts like, Dryads from the Wood Elf line, and draw influences from the Star Wars Nightsisters/Witches of Dathomir as well as the Witch from Left for Dead.

Playable Options: Chaos Space Marines with Daemon allies

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points

Project: Alpha Legion/Hydra

Concept: A snake/hydra themed army.

Description: A heavily transfigured warband featuring a Daemon Prince with snake tail (trygon bits), snake bikers (converted using raveners with snakes for hair/medusa), coutal helldrake, 3 headed Hydra forgefiend, chosen with snake heads, etc. Some lizardmen bits/snake bits/dragon bits, from the fantasy range as well.

Playable Options: Chaos Space Marines or Dark Angels perhaps

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points

Project: Blood Vultures/Star Vultures/Carrion Crows

Concept: A Mayan themed Khorne army on temple bases of sacrifice

Description: This Khorne army would revolved around a Mayan theme, making extensive use of template resin basing (covered in bloody sacrifices), and would use a lot of Lizard men bits. We imagine a Bloodthirster of Kali, a Great Unclean one/Slaan mage priest conversion, a Coatl themed Heldrake, assault marines with feathered wings, landraiders with sacrificial altars on top, etc.

Playable Options: Chaos Space Marines or Blood Angels

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points, and extra $250 for custom Temple display board (2x3' zigguraut)

Other paint schemes we are interested in (some modest kit-bashing as applicable):

The Cleaved ($1600 for 2000 points)

Flawless Host ($1800 for 2000 points)

The Purge ($1600 for 2000 points)

Iron Warriors ($1700 for 2000 points)

Sons of Vengeance ($1800 for 2000 points)

Disciples of Destruction (counts as Wordbearers, purple/orange camo, $2000 for 2000 points)

Project: Space Hulk Unleashed

Concept: A space hulk themed Tyranid army

Description: This army will make extensive use of the 'Space Hulk' theme, both in conversion and color scheme. All models will be painted in a way similar to the Genestealers in the Space Hulk boxed set. Spore Pods will be Drop Pods, modelled to resemble space hulk wreckage that has made planetfall, each bearing a brood of Tyranids. The army will feature at least one large brood of Genestealkers, and is possible will use Genestealers from the Space Hulk boxed set. Basing will include space hulk style basing, ruined ship corridors, etc.

Project: Ork Looted Tau

Concept: A Tau/Ork kitbashed mash up army

Description: Similiar to the Ork/necron kitbash, but using Tau and Ork bits, to count as either. Dreadmobs with Tau mash ups, lootas with tau guns, etc

Playable Options: Tau/Orks

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points.

Project: Tron Tau

Concept: A Tron themed Tau army

Description: This army will feature a dark paint scheme with an emphasis on blue OSL. The tau themselves will be dark brown/ochre/tan with some chipping/weathering. Their weaponry would ideally be bright blue (or perhaps another color) and we would incorporate a Black Light/Glow medium into the paints so that, when exposed to a black light the army would glow, literally. This will be an extra 'umph' when it comes time for display at local GT's or Cons.

Playable Options: Tau

Estimate: $1800 for 2000 points

Project: Looted Necrons/Junk Yard Necrons/Scrap Necrons

Concept: Even Necron tech isn't safe from those green skinned maniacs

Description: An Ork army use Necron vehicles for looted trucks, tanks, wagons, dreadnoughts (walkers), etc. Cybork-Wraiths for Deathcopta's, or wraiths ridden by Orks, etc. Tons of Cyborks.

We envision Looted Wagons with Doomsday Ar cannons, truck with Ghost Ark truck beds, MadDoc Grotsnik with Cybork conversions using Necron bits, Death Koptas using Necron Bikes, warbuggies using barges, zzap guns using telsa/gauss weaponry, and of course Ork Night/Doom Scythes, with tons of dakka!

Playable Options: Orks with Necron Allies

Estimate: $2500-$3000 for 2000-2500 points.

Project: Mad Morks

Concept: Mad Max themed Ork Army

Description: An Ork Army that based on the popular franchise. Vehicles would be highly Orky, but painted mostly in blacks and greyscale. Orks would feature mohawks. Army would be highly weathered and grimy/dirty. Using a lot of pigment and drybrushing. Also a focus on smaller vehicles with kit bashes. Think of it like a dark themed speed freaks army. Perhaps a Thunderdome style display board and maybe a Tina Turner esque Warboss.

Playable Options: Orks

Estimate: $2000 for 2000 points

Project: Transformorks/Deciptiorks

Concept: Robots in Disguise . . . as Orks

Description: This Ork army will draw heavy inspiration from the Transformers line, and feature customs conversions like those seen below of 'Starscream' and 'Orktimus Prime'.

Playable Options: Okrs. Possibly Tau or Necron allies

Estimate: $2500-3000 for 2000 points depending on number of robots converted.

Project: Prehistoric Orks/Feral Orks

Concept: Orcs riding dinosaurs or pre-historic creatures

Description: These feral orcs and more primitive even than most Orcs and they utilize dinosaurs or pre-historic creatures (thundertusks, sabertusks, stone horns, etc) in place of squiggs, warmachines, etc.

Playable Options: Orks or Lizardmen

Estimate: $2500 for 2000 points

Skaven Concept Armies

Project: Eshin

Concept: A Skaven army with an Asian theme

Description: This skaven army would follow in the style of what Hortwerth started years ago with this army. We want to take it to the next level and included Samurai, ninja, giant rockets, etc. This wouldn't necessarily be a historic accurate army, but more a fantastically realized variation. Maybe we can even work in some sort of Asian land wyrm to stand in for the Hellpit abomination.

Playable Options: Skaven

Estimate: $3000 for 2500 points.

About the Item
';document.write(flash_code);

Estimate: $1900 for 2000 points

This army would have a slaanesh theme (possibly the Cleaved or Emperor's Children) with Eldar for cultist allies. Daemonettes and Wyches would be used to kit bash the Crones.

How This Works

We will purchase this model or kit new on your behalf. We will then assemble it using an option you desire from the kit, and then paint it up to a standard similar to that which is featured above.

Want to make changes to the color scheme, wargear, basing, or other options (such as magnetization)?

Just let us know what you have in mind and we'll change the model as per your requests, within reason.

Ask before you purchase if you are unsure if we will accept your request.  In most cases we can negotiate the details of your commission, adjust the invoice, and then send the updated invoice to you.

White Metal Games Level Descriptions

TABLETOP PLUS  (formerly known as Electrum)  - These models look good on the tabletop.   A zenithal (top down) pre-shade is applied by airbrush.  When the base coat is then applied this will result in a shadow, midtone, and highlight; three levels of contrast.

HIGH (formerly known as Gold) level is intended for special characters, prominent models, and upscale collections.

DISPLAY (formerly known as Diamond) is considered by many to be "Pro-Painted".  Display level represents some our finest work.

Want to save a few dollars?  Ask that we paint the model to a lower quality.  Just make us an offer and if we accept the terms, we'll get started on your commission right away.
