With its bright color, Solid  Jeweler's Brass wire is a low cost substitute for yellow gold. This jewelry grade wire is attractive enough for finished wire wrapping pieces, yet inexpensive enough for practice work.

Note: This brass wire is jewelry grade. This means it is a higher quality then common brass sold in hardware stores and craft shops. It has a consistent color, shine, texture, weight, and strength. All my brass is custom made for me by a local metal shop that specializes in jewelry grade metal work. I use this brass in my own wire wrapping projects all the time.

The offer consists of

5 feet of half round triangle, 20 gauge, half hard, solid Jeweler's Brass wire.

This half round triangle wire is draw by hand; it is not machine made - I made it myself. Its shape is a combination of true half round (a half circle) and triangular wire. It can be used in any project requiring either half round or triangular wire.

About Brass

Jeweler's Brass is a name that is sometimes used for jewelry grade brass. It is used to distinguish brass from bronze (which is sometimes called Low Brass). This alloy is sometimes called Yellow Brass and is also sold under the brand name Dix Gold. High Brass, Yellow Brass, and Dix Gold are all the same metal.

This alloy is made from approximately 70% copper and 30% zinc. It contains no lead or nickel.
