Chives (Allium Schoenoprasum) - Great for dressing up potatoes and spicing up salads, Chives are easy-to-grow from herb seeds, and their lavender flowers make an attractive clump or edging in gardens. Chives are a must-have kitchen herb and are perfect for almost any savory dish. The Chives herb has tubular leaves that add a delicate onion flavor to cooking. They also make a nice garnish too with flower heads that can be used! The flowers have an even milder onion flavor. As soon as the leaves have reached several inches in height, you can start harvesting the desired amounts for the kitchen. Cut the leaves with scissors, leaving 1 - 2 inches above the ground. Begin at the outside edge of the plant and work toward the center. Chop the leaves and use fresh or freeze for year-round use.

Germination
Please read and follow the planting instruction. It will save your time and efforts!
Do not use heating mat. Keep moist, not letting the seeds dry out between watering. DO NOT cover the seeds with soil! Also, the SOIL should be kept consistently warm at 70-85F. Cool soils, below about 60-65F, even just at night, will significantly delay or inhibit germination. Additionally, overly warm soils, well above 90F, can inhibit germination and provide ideal conditions for seed rot. Over watering can cause fungal growth which leads to seed rot. Excess water can also bury seeds deep in the soil where they will not be able break the surface. Water when the soil surface just begins to dry. Please keep the container covered with a plastic bag on the top of the fridge where the room temperature is higher, therefore the soil temperature is perfect for germination. Once the seedlings are about one inch tall, you can remove the cover for 2-3 hours so they adapt to the sun light, temperature and air humidity level. At this time, you may place the container closer to the sun light. But keep them covered at night until they get stronger. When the plants reach about 2" tall, transplant them into pots; set them out in the garden when they reach 6" tall or after the last frost date.

Regular cutting helps keep plants vigorous and healthy and encourages spreading. Keep flowers picked to discourage dormancy in warm weather. Divide clumps every 2-3 years.
Chives herb uses include being companion plants to repel insect pests. Plant these herb seeds near almost any plant that is bothered by insect pests and the Chives will instantly drive them away.

Store Seeds: Store seeds away from children, sealed in their packaging in a cool, dry, dark place, or in a fridge. Never store them in a freezer as the sudden temperature drop is likely to kill them. Don't leave the seeds in direct sunlight as the heat generated may kill.

Payment must be received within three days auction ends. If you have less than 10 feedback score, payment must be received within 24 hours, no exception. If payment is not received, item will be re-listed the next day.

SHIPPING

I normally ship the day payment is received, and only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses. If you have an unconfirmed address with PayPal, it is your responsibility to let me know what address your item should be shipped to. If I don't hear from you, I will assume that the address is correct and I will ship to same address you have with PayPal.

If a package is returned to us because it was Non-deliverable, we will issue you a refund, minus the shipping cost.

We will not be able to re-ship orders that have been returned to us. If you still wish to purchase the item, you will have to place a new order.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Don't pay individually! First add all items to the eBay shopping cart and then click on "Pay only this seller". Ebay will combine them into one order with a single shipping payment!

Due to varying postal rates and custom regulations, special rates and billing will be applied to all international orders. All international shipping is at customer's risk. Your order will be sent in a bubble wrap envelope Standard Small Parcels. International buyers are responsible for any taxes, duties, fees etc. required by their country. All packages will be marked with actual value and the type of product enclosed, please be sure the seeds purchased can be imported into your country.
