VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE RESCUE® is the manufacturer of this NOS OEM Honda MAGNETIC SWITCH COVER, Honda Part No. 35857-286-000 (obsolete) which hasn't been available new from Honda for approximately 30 years. We use the same exact original design copied from a perfect Honda NOS OEM switch cover, injection moulding process, and the same rubber material used in the original part. VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE RESCUE® specializes in Honda restorations and accurately reproduced vintage parts for 1968 through 1973 CL, CB, and SL 350 models. This particular part will fit many other electric start Honda models (i.e. CL250, CB250, SL250 in Europe and Australia) and many others than the 350 twins, but some very minor rerouting adjustment of the battery wire cable or turning of the switch might be required. This part is No. 12 on the official Honda factory 350/250 Parts Manual page included in the photos.
The photos show several views of the new part (one is of an original old part), showing the part installed on the top of the magnetic switch, including with all wires installed as required. Most of these original switch covers disintegrated many years ago, and many owners don't even know the part was once on their bike. This cover is required to prevent the switch terminals from shorting either on the battery box or the seat pan. This part is show bike quality, just like our battery covers for these motorcycles, also sold on eBay. Read our feedback and then buy from the best, there are no better OEM quality parts available.
