D1 Spec Meters fulfil the requirements of mechanical meters by being lightweight and compact, but further enhances this by offering a display which is not just attractive, but clearly viable both during the day and night.
High Performance Stepping Motors are used to control the gauge needle allowing for precise linear display and improved reliability. Peak hold, warning, replay, real time display, self diagnosis and brightness adjustment features which are only obtainable through the use of electronic meters and provide flexibility for the user.
D1 Spes gauge series don't use EL type or bulb type illumination light, but are using LED to light up themselves at night driving. Comparing with bulb type, LED decreases electric power consumption to 1/5 approximately, which means these new gauges prevent battery from discharging too much on late model cars with many electrical devices.
LED also offers excellent durability without blowing light that sometimes happens with EL types and bulb types. In fact LED type illumination offers 10 times longer durability than bulb type illumination.
