They operate from 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) and the clear battery box is approx. 85mm x 70mm x 20mm overall and is shower proof (IP44 rated) so the whole set can be used infdoors or outdoors. There is a switch on top of the battery box as well as mounting loop to position to box where you need it. Between the battery box and the first light there is approx. 50cm of wire. Each light is approx.10cm apart and the whole LED string is more than 3.0m long from the battery box to the last LED. These lights have non-replaceable bulbs with a lifetime of 30,000hrs and are so slim all you see is the light! They are great for decorating anywhere and are cool to touch so you can decorate clothing, costumes, plants, flower arrangements.
