Relay Card
The REAL board is used in HiPath 3700 3750 to provide the
following
functions:
Relay (REAL)
Four individual, controllable relays (K1 to K4) are available for special
connections. The relays
are energized by the CBCPR board via the REAL socket X05 connection cable. The
switch contacts for all relays are floating and protected by surge protectors.
Power Failure Transfer ALUM (REAL)
This function is provided by two relays (K5, K6) with two switch contacts each.
In the event
of a power failure or a system restart or reload, an analog trunk is transferred
from the system
to an analog telephone. The system monitors the line’s loop current to avoid
disconnecting
any trunk calls in progress when the power is restored.
