What to consider? What are on the market? What do we offer?
Brightness
Brighter means more fish.
Some lights on market claim to have more than 10000 lumens. That only happens when you burn your light and quickly reduce their lifespan. Our light is rated at 9600 lumens under normal usage. They can reach 18000 lumens and higher. But we never recommend and advertise such a devastating way of use.
LED Qualities
Better LEDs mean brighter.
Three kinds of LEDs (5630, 5050 and 3528) are usually used in fishing light. 5630 LED is twice brighter than 5050 LED and six times brighter than 3528 LED. Even though they have different brightness, their prices are the same.We only use the brightest 5630 LEDs in our light.
LED Counts
More LEDs means brighter.
A fishing light typically has 300 LEDs or 150 LEDs, or some just have fewer than 90 LEDs. Usually, shorter light has fewer LEDs and less brightness. We always use 300 5630 LEDs in our light.
Length
Shorter means easier carry.
A 300 LED light is typically 20-inch to 40-inch long. A 150 LED light is typically 10-inch to 25-inch long. A shorter light is easier and lighter to carry in fishing bag.Our light is better designed to be 14-inch long, the shortest among all 300 LED lights, and even shorter than some 150 LED lights.
Durability
Higher durability means longer time of use.
The outside clear tube protects the LEDs right under it. The typical material is plastic (cheapest and useless), acrylic or polycarbonate (most expensive). Polycarbonate has a very high impact resistance at nearly 15 times of acrylic and 30 times of glass. Polycarbonate has high elasticity for resistance to creep as well. Our light only uses the industrial-grade super strong and high quality clear polycarbonate tube for great durability.
Extra Optional FeaturesMany lights on the market only have a simple on/off control and a fixed power supply. We offer a brightness and blinking dimmer controller and three exchangeable X-Plugs for your choice.
