ITEM DESCRIPTION

Faithfully reproduced from an immaculate original window decal found in my VE Valiant owners manual, this reproduction Chrysler gear lever lock decal is a great little authentic detail to be added to any Valiant fitted with a Chrysler gear lever lock! An ideal touch for any stickler of historic Chrysler paraphernalia.

  • The decal is to be applied to the inside of the window
  • Printed on high grade polymeric clear self adhesive vinyl and backed with white ink - (It will be good for years if not decades on garaged vehicle)
  • Printed using the latest high end UV flatbed printer

A BIT OF BACKGROUND HISTORY
The Chrysler gear lever lock was introduced late in the manufacturing run of the AP6 series Valiant on both the automatic and manual column gear shifts. There were 2 upgraded versions added between the VC and VF models with a number of Valiant models being retro fitted with the gear lever locks in the early 1970's as the rate of car theft increased.

TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS
The AP6 and VC gear lever lock decals were clear with blue text but due to poor legibility, Chrysler Australia Ltd changed the background to white midway through the VE Valiant series circa 1969. I have both clear and white backed versions available, but truth be told, the white versions look far more impressive and are much easier to read.
