Sword 1/72 SW72065 Curtiss P-40K Warhawk (Kittyhawk Mk III) RAAF, RNZAF, RAF

The P-40 was America's best and most modern fighter early in WW2. There was many variants of the P-40 and it was supplied to many different air forces. In the USAAF it was eventually largely replaced by the likes of the P-38, P-47 and P-51. The P-40K Warhawk was known as the Kittyhawk Mk III to the RAF and this version was powered by an Allison engine and featured a longer fuselage.

This is Sword’s model of the Kittyhawk Long Tail. Sword is a new manufacturer based in the Czech Republic.  This kit is a finely detailed, injection moulded plastic kit. The quality of the kit looks quite good and I would recommend it highly to experienced modellers.

There are markings for 3 Kittyhawk's, all in one in RAF Desert camouflage and the other 2 are RAAF and RNZAF in Pacific Theatre camouflage.
