Full leather. Corners worn to the board; edges show wear and chipping; some chipping to spine bands; boards scuffed. Hinges worn, with some cracking to front hinge. The inner front hinge has been reinforced with binding tape. The inner rear hinge shows cracking. The boards are presently serviceable, but not durably attached. Pages yellowed; some sections also show a darker discoloration around the edges. There is an occasional bit of foxing, some small chips and a few larger edge tears, minor creasing. Good plus. A big weighty volume, packed with wonderful illustrations by Doré.
