The latest enhanced Davis digital temperature and humidity sensor for the Vantage Pro2 range of external sensor suites and temperature / humidity stations (built from 2006 onwards).
This latest revision includes the enhanced double coated PCB sealant and the white sensor screen and cap (as shown). Importantly the sensor uses the enhanced SHT31 temperature and humidity sensor that gives exceptional accuracy compared to the earlier sensor product SHT11 and SHT15 over the total measured range (see images attached).
When using this sensor with Davis sensor suites manufacturered between 2006 and December 2015 an offset adjustment is required to the readings obtained.
Using a new January 2016 transmitter with an old temperature humidity sensor will result in
· Temperature reading 0.5’C (0.9’F) low.
Using a 2006 to January 2016 transmitter with this temperature humidity sensor will result in
· Temperature reading 0.5’C (0.9’F) high.
To counteract this a calibration offset should be applied in the console (see page 26 of your console manual for calibration details), or contact us for more information. Humidity readings from your weather station are not affected.
