Rare Vintage Eddie Bauer Red Plaid Double Mackinaw Goose Down Hunting Field Jacket MADE IN USA Cruiser Buffalo M

Since 1920 Eddie Bauer have produced premium quality, innovative jackets, with an appreciation for the outdoors.

The mackinaw hunting coat originated in the 1800s and is still as popular today. The rugged wool shell wards off the fiercest weather. It's not only warm, but it sheds water, and the tight weave keeps out the cold. Features include knit storm cuffs in sleeves, four outer buttoned pockets, plus side entry hand-warmer pockets. The under-collar tab holds the collar up and helps to keep out the cold and breezes. The jacket has a fully lined body and sleeves with a premium quality goose down filling for warmth, and a zip front covered by a buttoned storm flap.

Used and in good vintage condition throughout. There is a small area to the back upper part of the right arm where some of the fabric has worn away to reveal the base fabric, and two small areas to the upper left arm area but no holes. Some of the fabric has also worn away at the inner back neck (see the back neck label image which shows how the fabric has worn away) and there is a small hole approx 3mm. There is also some bobbling/pilling to the jacket, in particular to the arms. A few small issues but still many years of wear left and a great looking vintage jacket. Please see all pictures.

Size: I would class as M with a 44" full external chest measurement and the overall fit - but it depends how loose you like to wear, so it could also fit a size small with a bit of room (please see below for all key measurements to check against a similar garment of your own to ensure a good fit).
