This is full spectrum or infra-red or astronomy photography conversion service. Here what will be done with your camera body:
- Hot mirror (bluish piece of glass) will be removed so full spectrum of light can rich the camera sensor.
- Should you decide to go Infra red then IR filter will be installed. Otherwise clear path will be provided for full spectrum to rich the sensor.
- Your camera will continue to perfectly focus on all range of distances like the unchanged camera.
- Olympus cameras will retain (it will not be removed like others do) Ultrasonic sensor cleaning system.
- Panasonic cameras will NOT retain Ultrasonic sensor cleaning system. It will be replaced with optical grade boroflat glass.
- Existing IR Cut (Hot Mirror) filter (bluish piece of glass) will be professionally removed and send to you along with your camera.
How long it will take and how it works?
- It will take one to three business days to convert your camera.
- You send me your camera and let me know what type of conversion you would like to receive.
- Should you decide to go ahead with Full spectrum - let me know about it
- Should you decide to go ahead with IR filter lease make your choice of 650nm, 750nm or 850nm IR filter. Please see example pictures to see what is the IR filter you prefer.
- Also available U-360 (UV+IR) filter conversion for additional $29. The reason is that the U-360 is a very expensive filter.
What type of filter to choose?
- If you will be using camera as a regular camera as well, then go with Full Spectrum and buy on lens screw on type IR Cut filter from Ebay to use it as a regular camera. At any time you can screw any filter you want (UV, IR, color or IR Cut) to get desired effects. This is most versatile choice!
- If you devoted your camera to IR only and do not want to use any filer in front of the lens, then go ahead with IR filter. I'd choose 650 or 750nm as most useful ones.
What should You send with the camera?
Please send camera and battery ONLY! No SD cards or lenses needed. Once conversion is done I will ship your camera back to you via USPS Priority Mail. I will pay return shipping postage fee inside continental US.

How modifications will affect my camera?
If you will not use any filter and will be taking pictures with FILL SPECTRUM camera:
- Inside buildings them it will be pretty much same picture as there in not much IR light inside the buildings.
- Outside you will have reddish hue as with any modified camera. So it is good idea to use filters outside. But that is completely up to you.
If you will chose IR filter to be installed then:
- You camera will see IR only. No matter what lens you use IR part of the spectrum only will rich the camera sensor.

- Camera packed in USPS Priority Mail box. No original box will be included to save on shipping charges.
Condition of the camera:
- You will get you camera back in exactly same condition you sent to me + conversions.
- Every camera I receive is being photographed once unpacked and during modification as well as during packaging. I can provide you with those pictures should you need them.
