I have spent a lot of time, research and trial and error since I have been an ant keeper and wanted to share my knowledge along in these new ant homes I have designed and made.
Also now included we have upgraded our triple layer mesh to include a layer of SUPER FINE SS Mesh for the absolute smallest species of ants!
This internal nest is designed for small to medium sized ants.
FEATURES:
EXPANDABLE - Great for starting out. It expands when you need it by easily removing the partition pin (easy to do with tweezers). Once your colony outgrows the right size, lift the pin and instant access to a whole 2nd larger area for future growth. Both nest sides have humidity chambers.
FULL Humidity Control via rear slide out drawer so you can re-hydrate or replace the media with ease and without disturbing your colony.
Hang on Back water supply that is easily removable. Sponge also supplied to avoid any accidental drownings. (this portal can also house your queen test tube prior to ant nest colonization)
Nest entrance allows full access from above like a natural nest.
Attached portal adapter allows future expansion possibilities with 1/2" diameter tubing connections and caps.
Multi layer reinforced mesh screens allow ventilation of the nest as well as humidity on rear of nest to ward off escapes.
Lid overhang fits snug and overhangs about 1/2 a cm to prevent escapes.

We are constantly upgrading and tweaking our designs as we discover new ideas to make them better.
Some of those ideas have come from our customers as well. Sometimes our pictures do not reflect these little changes but
none of them will alter the design of the nest in any major way so what you see in the pictures is still very close to what you will receive.
Also the colors may vary slightly due to a few things like camera, lighting, internet browsers, monitor display of color and sometimes our supply of materials can change shades and hues
