M42 LENS ADAPTER TO EOS MOUNT WITH PLATE
Product Description
This adaptor will mount any M42 lens to any Canon EOS EF Mount Camera
Made from alluminium alloy the adaptor fits the camera body physically but not electrically, M42 lenses do not share any data with the camera.
This adaptor has a flange plate at the bottom of the M42 thread which will depresses the pin on at the base of the lens, this is the auto aperture pin which when depressed closes down the lens iris to the pre-selected aperture marked on the lens barrel, and this would normally happen with an M42 camera when the shutter is fired, if your lens has this pin then the flanged adapter mount is the most suitable, if your lens has manual iris control then you will be able to use the non flanged adapter.

Lens: M42 screw mount Lens eg. Pentacon, Takumar, Optomax, Zenit, Helios, Carl Zeis lens etc
Camera: Canon EOS EF Mount Camera.
Please note:
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, nor any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter.
In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled
by the camera body.
You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode.
