For sale is a vintage and rare 1968-69 Vox Transistion Wah effects pedal. This unit works and sounds great! This pedal was Made in Italy, and is the real deal! The pot is clean, and the pedal operates flawlessly. No modern pedal even comes close.
This wah was produced by Vox in the post-Clyde era but before the V846 era. These are rare and not too many were made!
Vox used different components in some transistional wah's, this one has the HALO inductor and sounds killer. Super warm and lush.
The board is all original, with the Halo inductor and Arco caps. The original tone is 100% preserved.
I believe this pedal to be completely original, the only thing that might have been replaced is the pot. The board jacks, battery terminal, switch, and all other components are defintiely original. I have just not seen a Transition wah with a Clarostat pot.
The pedal currently has an old Clarostat 53C1 pot.
Cosmetically, this wah is in good overall condition for its age. The paint is in good shape with only minor wear. The chrome is in great shape with no severe pitting.. The sticker on the back is long gone, as is common with these pedals.
The original bag is included, but it does not snap shut.
