DVD FEATURES:

Intro:
The Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race is a motorcycle racing event held on the Isle of Man and was for many years the most prestigious motor-cycle race in the world.

The event was part of the FIM Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship during the period 1949-1976 before being transferred to the United Kingdom after safety concerns and run by the FIM as the British Grand Prix for the 1977 season.

The Isle of Man TT Races became part of the TT Formula 1 Championship during the period 1977-1990 to preserve the events racing status.

From 1989 the racing has been developed by the Isle of Man Department of Tourism as the Isle of Man TT Festival.

The Snaefell Mountain Course or Mountain Course is a road-racing circuit used for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix Races held in the Isle of Man from 1911 and 1923 respectively.

The racing is held on public roads closed for racing by an Act of Tynwald (the parliament of the Isle of Man). It is the oldest motor-cycle racing circuit still in use.

The course is 37.733 miles (60.73 km) in length and the start-line is situated on the A2 Glencrutchery Road in the town of Douglas.

The racing circuit is based on a number of public roads on the Isle of Man including the primary A2 Douglas to Ramsey road, A1 Douglas to Peel road, A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road and the primary A18 Snaefell Mountain Road. The highest point of the course is situated on the primary A18 Mountain Road between the Bungalow and Hailwood's Height at spot height 422 metres (1,380 ft) above sea level.

Description:
The Official Review of the 2017 Isle of Man TT Fuelled by Monster Energy

The 2017 Isle of Man TT promises to be another record-shattering showdown between the most talented and determined motorcycle road racers in the World. That's why you need to order your Official Review - to have a lasting memento of an historic 110th year of TT racing.

After Ian Hutchinson and Michael Dunlop rewrote the record books in 2016 - with the first 133mph laps on Superstock and Superbikes respectively - we wondered if we'd seen it all.

However, with Hutchy making the move to Dunlop tyres for his Tyco BMW and Dunlop swapping his BMW for a new Suzuki GSX-R1000 it's clear there is unfinished business for the pair to attend to and they are looking for anything that might give them an advantage in their quest to add to their growing tally of wins (14 for Ian, 13 for Michael).

To say it is a two horse race, is to ignore an incredible amount of talent and technology. John McGuinness, the most successful current rider, and returning fans' favourite Guy Martin will be riding on stunning new factory-backed Honda CBR1000RR Fireblades, as well as partnering on the Mugen SES TT Zero machines.

Peter Hickman has swapped to Smiths BMW for the 2017 campaign, while James Hillier and Dean Harrison maintain their long-running connections to Kawasaki. Bruce Anstey and Conor Cummins will be riding for Padgett's Honda, albeit Conor on a Fireblade and Bruce on a jaw-dropping RC213V.

In the sidecar department, competition is even more fierce, if that's possible. With five former winners in the top ten there's going to be some stunning battles for every podium position. Ben Birchall, current lap record holder, will be striving to achieve the double denied by mechanical issues in 2016, whilst John Holden, Dave Molyneux, Tim Reeves and Conrad Harrison will certainly have other ideas. Add to the mix the Founds brothers who achieved stunning breakthroughs in 2016 and a host of hot, thirsty talent with their eyes on the front end of the pack and life is going to be tough for the three laps of each sidecar race.

As always, the official review will be crammed with all of the very best highlights of the action from every race throughout the week, plus the best of qualifying and what happens away from the track.
