Untitled Document This sale is for an unusual lens, a Repro Nikkor 85mm F1 lens that is designed for 1:1 work. The lens has a very high build quality and weighs 1 pound 8 ounces.  Construction is 12 elements in 8 groups. Each end of the lens has an app. 52mm thread on it and it is supplied with a ring that fits the threads and might be suitable to use in constructing a lens mount (you will need to construct a mount or have one made to fit your camera, I made a mount for my Nikon using the ring supplied and a Nikon Extension tube) The lens does not have a focus helicoid.  This particular example is clean and sharp, glass is perfect and diaphragm works smoothly ( has some fine light dust specs) Serial number is 851416 . A great lens for a collector and a fantastic lens for the macro photographer.

A little information on working distance and mounts:

I have made  two mounts for this lens to use on my personal cameras. The mount for a Nikon was made using a Nikon extension tube and one of the mounting rings supplied with this lens. This brings the total flange to sensor/film distance to 59mm.  My working distance (distance from the subject to the front of the lens) is 65mm.

The second mount that I constructed was made to fit my Sony A7 camera. Using one of the supplied rings and a Sony E mount to Leica M mount adapter (made by Fotga) this mount gives me a 100mm working distance from the front of the lens to the subject.

Note: this lens will be supplies with two threaded mounting rings and it will be up to the buyer to construct a mount for their own camera.

Sale is for the lens and mounting rings and does not include any lens adapters or the Sony A7 body shown in the photos.
