Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens

The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Lens from Nikon is a supremely lightweight lens that offers a f/1.8 maximum aperture for effective low light shooting and shallow depth of field control. A standard 50mm focal length on FX format cameras, it provides a 75mm focal length equivalence when used on DX format Nikon DSLRs.


With a simple and time-tested optical design it weighs in at just 5.5 oz making it a great lens for travel and everyday use. Nikon's Super Integrated Lens Coating improves light transmission, reducing ghosting and flare, and it accepts 52mm filters. An integrated aperture control ring enables manual control of exposure in addition to AE control through the camera body. For programmed auto or shutter-priority auto exposure shooting, use the minimum aperture lock lever to lock the lens aperture at f/22.

Autofocus is not supported by D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100, D3200, D3300, D5000, D5100, D5200, and D5300 cameras--lens may be used with manual focus only. Be sure to check your camera's lens-compatibility information before selecting a new lens.

52mm Telephoto Lens

Lens Attachment for 52mm Filter Thread is a telephoto lens attachment for cameras with 52mm filter threads. It offers a much narrower angle of view than the camera's lens capability, and accepts 62mm filters.

This 52mm Digital Filter Kit includes an ND4 filter, a circular polarizer filter, and a UV filter.


ND4 Filter
This neutral density 0.6 filter enables a two stop increase in exposure. It darkens the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the overall coloration of the image.

UV Filter
The UV filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others. The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Circular Polarizing Filter
The circular polarizing filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.
52mm Tulip Lens Hood
