G.D. Armour signed limited edition print

Title: 'Encouragement' 

I believe this print has been taken from an edition of the book 'Humour in the Hunting Field as seen by G.D. Armour with comments by Crascedo.' 

This book was published by Country Life in 1928. It had 20 plates in total, of which this is Plate XIV. 

In the book was printed:

'In 100 copies only of this edition each plate has been autographed by the Artist. The copies are number 1 to 100. No. Fourteen.' 

A copy of this text has been affixed to the wrapper of the print, which has been mounted on card. As well as the signature within the print, there is a pencil signature below.

George Denholm Armour (1864–1949) was a British painter. He did illustrations for The Graphic, Punch and Country Life. He is well-known for his hunting scenes, including illustrations of editions of R.S. Surtees' ‘Jorrocks’ books.

Size: Print 10.5" x 7"; with mount 18.5" x 15.5" 

Condition: very good.
