This W.A.R. coated self-drilling phillips wafer head screw w/wings drills a hole and taps a thread in a single operation. The drilling point must fully penetrate all pieces of metal before the first thread engages. Designed to work with ACQ treated lumber. Wings ream hole in wood preventing “jacking action”. Application: Attaches plywood to metal. Drill Capacity (in.): .035 - .176. Installation: A standard screw gun with torque limiting nose piece set at a maximum of 2500 RPM drive speed recommended. Use a #2 Phillips drive bit. Do not over torque as it can cause the head to snap or stripping of the recess. Installed fasteners must penetrate a minimum of three full threads beyond the metal structure.
