Platinum Drywall Tools Inside Corner Roller

The Platinum Drywall Tools Inside Corner Roller is precision designed for embedding paper tape into inside 90 degree corners.  Immediately after applying the mud and tape into the corner, you will use this tool by rolling it over the tape.  This process forces the excess joint compound out from under the tape and adequately beds the corner.  It creates a nice sharp angle. 

Use a corner flusher or angle head to clean up the excess compound.  (sold separately) 

This tool will significantly speed up your drywall finishing.

How to Use:
  • Once the drywall tape has been applied manually, using a "banjo" taper, or with an automatic taper, the corner roller becomes essential. Its purpose is to firmly embed the tape within the interior corner seams, simultaneously eliminating excess compound or air pockets.
  • Begin the rolling process from the midpoint of the tape's length, and gradually move back and forth (or up and down) towards the corners, progressively widening your passes.
  • Apply consistent and firm pressure to ensure the tape is tightly set in place.
  • The outcome should reveal a precise, crisp 90-degree angle in the tape, featuring smooth and level tape edges on the adjacent walls. With this, your inside corner is now primed for coating and final touches.
  • To prevent the compound from solidifying within the rollers, it's advisable to clean the corner roller before it dries. Additionally, lubricate the rollers with 3-in-1 machine oil both before and after each use.
