c1880 Antique Victorian Gothic Brass Pocket Watch Stand Holder   Rd 183660.

Stunning English Victorian Gothic antique solid brass pocket watch holder/clock case decorated with swags flanked with rams heads with lovely easel back the arms look to be forged and twisted to suit the holder.Of very good quality and superb detailed casting though now softened.Not sure 100% if watch stand without the holder or clock case.Either way it is a beautiful old piece that would grace any collection.There are marks,nicks,dinks old polish residue etc all commensurate with age and use.One screw is missing and one may of been replaced...nothing major,but noted...

Has registration number of "Rd 183660" with also impressed "S"in vessel mark...The number indicates the year of 1876~1877 when registered.

Would make a great small mantel/desk clock with your favourite pocket watch or even upcycle to a photo frame...up to you...

Displays very well in any period or contemporary setting.

Great addition to any collection.

Good size measures  7.75"tall and 5"across front feet with a depth of around  4" when in position,also has a 2"diameter opening at front..

Weighs 0.440 kilos unwrapped.
