Der CD-Player C 516BEE setzt die vielfach ausgezeichnete NAD Tradition eindrucksvoll fort: Pure and Simple. Volle Konzentration auf den Klang.

Mit dem aktuellen NAD Design und seiner flachen Bauform passt der C 516BEE nicht nur perfekt zu den hoch prämierten Vollverstärkern, sondern transportiert optisch konsequent die NAD Tradition: ein unaufgeregtes, klar strukturiertes Äußeres, den Blick streng auf die inneren Werte gerichtet. Dadurch wird eine intuitive Bedienung erreicht und man findet die in der Praxis wichtigen Bedienelemente blind.

Mit zum Beispiel dem Vollverstärker C 316BEE entsteht so in einheitlichem Look eine klangstarke Anlage, die im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis Maßstäbe setzt. Das blau leuchtende VFD (Vakuum Fluoreszenz Display) informiert über die Inhalte der CD und lässt sich bei Bedarf dimmen.

Neben Audio-CDs spielt der kompakte Player auch Musik, die in die Formate WMA oder MP3 kodiert wurde. Und das mit dem aktuell besten Chip, um komprimierte Musik zu dekodieren. Dadurch können mit nur einer CD-R/CD-RW bis zu 10 Stunden Musik in hoher Qualität wiedergegeben werden. Eine Repeat-Funktion wiederholt auf Wunsch einen einzelnen Titel, die gesamte CD oder ausgewählte Passagen.

Das Kürzel „BEE“ garantiert hervorragende Klangqualität: Chefentwickler und NAD Mitbegründer Björn Erik Edvardsen optimierte die klanglich relevanten Bauteile und stattet den CD-Player mit einem perfekten Werks-Tuning aus. Vor allem die Operationsverstärker und der 24 Bit/192 kHz D/A-Wandler vom Chip-Spezialisten Cirrus Logic wurden mit besonderer Sorgfalt ausgewählt.

Für höchste Stabilität bei der Stromversorgung werden speziell ausgesuchte, eng tolerierte Kondensatoren eingesetzt und digitale sowie analoge Schaltkreise strikt getrennt versorgt. Die Signalweiterleitung kann wahlweise über analoge Cinch-Ausgänge, einen koaxialen- oder einen optischen Digitalausgang erfolgen. Durch die im Lieferumfang enthaltene Fernbedienung lassen sich alle Funktionen bequem vom Hörplatz aus steuern.

The C 516BEE CD Player represents an unbeatable combination of audiophile performance and cost conscious engineering, making it the ideal companion to our popular C 316BEE Integrated Amplifier. Improving on our five-star rated C 516BEE design was no small task, but the C 516BEE exceeded our expectations thanks to its latest generation 24/192 Cirrus Logic Delta/Sigma DAC for more accurate dynamics. We also fine-tuned analogue stage for even lower distortion compared to its predecessor. We’ve also refined the C 516BEE’s industrial design imparting a sleek new profile to our Classic NAD face. Standby power consumption is reduced to a tiny trickle (<0.5 watts), saving energy while still allowing full remote control. Like many NAD CD players before it, the C 516BEE is set to become the best in its class.
