Used Tamiya TA03F carbon fiber chassis. Missing rear gear case and associated parts, missing steering parts and servo saver, missing drive belt and pulley for 4WD. Good project to continue or take the chassis parts and convert your own TA03.
Chassis has some wear and scratches but in good condition. The front damper stay was cracked on one side as pictured. I've run screws in from the back to remedy and works fine although you may want to replace it.
I've listed this as a 58200 David Jun and 58227 TA03 TRF. Honestly it's neither of those so I call it a hybrid.
What's unique is it has the TA03R TRF carbon chassis which was different from any other TA03 and there wasn't a conversion kit as far as I'm aware. It allows mounting of the battery tray far forward with the servo on top. It's currently configured with the tray far rearward as this makes most sense for the front mounted motor. The TA03R TRF had the motor in the back.
The David Jun kit was one of very few TA03 front motor gearbox using black plastic.
Other thoughts:
- Has mostly black plastics. The gray parts are battery tray, piece of the rear gearbox I've mounted suspension arms to, and the piece behind the bumper in front of the motor.
- Aluminum servo stays
- M-chassis quick release battery holder
- Dampers are the 53155 pink variety. UV faded.
- Dogbones up front
- King pins are upgraded
- Carbon steering bar
