This auction offers a vintage World Wrestling Federation T-shirt from the SummerSlam 2001 Pay-Per-View event, which took place on August 19, 2001 at the Compaq Center in San Jose, CA. The shirt is a men’s size XL, and it was gently used prior to being placed in safe, long-term storage.

The item’s condition has remained excellent; there are no glaring rips, holes or stains to speak of.

Constructed of 100% cotton, the shirt is black with screen printing on both sides.

On the front, there are large, framed headshot photos of Kurt Angle, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock and Booker T -- one in each corner -- with that year’s rendition of the SummerSlam logo placed right in the middle of the arrangement; the photos all have a greenish-blue tint. Above the wrestler’s heads are small green caps that read, “WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION PRESENTS,” while at the bottom are larger green caps spelling out the even slogan, “LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR.”

On the back, there is a small WWF.COM logo at the top, followed by a much larger SummerSlam logo with the same “WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION PRESENTS” text above it. Below that is the event date in medium-sized caps with a blended green and blue color: “SUNDAY, AUGUST 19, 2001.” Underneath is the event slogan, appearing exactly as it does on the front.

Small logos for the event sponsor (Chef Boyardee), the band Drowning Pool, and the Compaq center are printed in a horizontal line near the bottom of the shirt.

Measurements for the item tally 29” long, 23” across the shoulders, and 7.5” for the sleeves.

Take home this authentic wrestling souvenir from 16 years ago, from an event where “Stone Cold” Steve Austin successfully defended his WWF Title against Kurt Angle, and The Rock pinned Booker T to capture the WCW Title!
