• Item: We have this Fascinating 1975 Collection of Eight Hans Christian Anderson Fairy Tale Series Medals that come in their original case. The Medals were issued to Commemorate the 100^th Anniversary of the death of Anderson 1805-1875. Hans Anderson was Denmark's World Famous Story Teller. The eight medals commemorate Anderson's most well known Fairy Tales. They are:
• (1) The Ugly Duckling,
• (2) The Tinder – Box,
• (3) Numbskull Jack,
• (4) Thumbelina,
• (5) Willy Winky,
• (6) The Flying Trunk,
• (7) The Shepherdess And The Chimney Sweep,
• (8) The Little Match Girl.
• On one side of the medal is the themes for the fairy tale, the other side it features a portrait of Anderson. Each Medal is marked No. 3615/4000. The Medals were designed by Harald Salomon. A Fantastic Collection to display! More neat stuff at our store!
• Size and Makeup: Medals: approx. 2 3/4” in diameter. Made of bronze (we believe). Each weight is approx. 10 ounces.
• Condition: One small dark spot on the back of one medal. But otherwise The Fairy Tale Series Medals Looks Great! No damage! The Case latches show some very minor wear from age and use (nothing serious). Otherwise the case is in good shape, and holds your medal securely!
• Markings: KULTATEOLLISUUS Finland. Issued by Anders NYBORG INT.75-11-01 NO.3615/4000.
