You are bidding on a Zeiss Ikon Contax 1A film camera (Nr. Y. 16836/body and back #s match). It is in fair/good cosmetic condition with some handling marks. Please view pictures for details. This camera has issues and sold as is for parts/repair/collectible purposes. Its winding knob turns and it turns the film counter dial, curtain goes up, however does not collect the second one, its shutter fires without any speed change and rangefinder window is dark. It comes with a Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f/2 lens (Nr. 1455159). Lens is in good cosmetic condition with some handling marks. It has fairly clean/working aperture blades, back element exterior is clean, front element coating has a lot of cleaning marks, there is a small area separation/delamination-? on one of the internal element edge and it has specks internally. The camera comes in a Zeiss Ikon 1777/8 case. that is in fair/good shape except that it has a broken shoulder strap and its linen/leather is fragile around the snaps. Also, there are three filters (yellow, red R10 & Proxarlinse 2/IV) in suede case. Filters are in good condition, case is in poor shape).
