This is the most superb powder compact, it would really make a statement.  It is ASPREY  & Co.  This is classic art deco in 9ct yellow gold with a centre decoration of yellow, rose and white gold embossed patterned and displaying the gemstones is a white fold fancy setting set with 33 single cut diamonds 1.3m to 1.8m of 0.60 carats approx'y in weight and 6 baguette diamonds total weight of approx'y 0.24carats.. There are 9 round cabochon rubies set in rubbed over settings 0.80 carats total weight approx'y and on the catch at the side there are 5 single cut diamonds set in white gold spring opening bar total of 0.08 cts approx'y .  The inside base of the compact is marked A & Co LTD  9  .375 B and a leopards head  {the standard for gold} The other side of this has ASPREY LONDON  8  MADE IN ENGLAND Please look carefully at photos as there is no powder in this and the lift out part above where the powder would be has the fine material coming away from two edges. Otherwise this is in excellent condition, the only small blemish I can find is the top of the bottom left hand corner has had a little knock - see photo. This is approx'y 8cm by 6.5cm.  Asprey were well known for the fine quality of their items and this is a wonderful item for the collector.  I have not tried to find a powder base for this or to replace the material, this is not my field of expertise I think that whoever buys this will know how to do those things properly.  This quality of item does not come up very often, a wonderful chance to acquire a quality piece.  The valuation comes to the buyer with this, the valuation was done in 2009 and was for $13,000 the price of gold has since increased remarkeably
