Triumph des Claudius (Claudio e l'aquila) nach J. C. Storer.
Nach einem Gemälde an den Triumphbögen der Festdekoration zum feierlichen
Einzug ´Entrée solennelle´ der Maria Anna von Österreich im Juni 1649.
Die Braut König Philipps IV von Spanien betrat in Mailand zum ersten Mal
spanischen Boden, und mußte als zukünftige Landesherrin entsprechend
aufwendig empfangen werden (Appuhn-Radtke).

Sehr guter und gratiger Abdruck auf Bütten. Bis knapp an die Einfassungslinie
beschnitten. Angestaubt und leicht fleckig, oben re. minimal knittrig, die
Ecken leimschattig von alter Montage.

Very good impression with burr on laid paper. Cut next to borderline, a few
soiling and staining, faint creases at upper right corner. Glue staining to
corners from old mount. Very nice.
