N.B. I am not a book seller in the traditional sense, I do sell books on ebay and I do have an interest in books but I do not know the technical terms etc and there are 12 photographs to assist you in the description, these are an accurate description of the condition of the book. The book is still in the original cover with banding at the ends and writing in gilt, this is worn on the spine showing the brown leather coming through. The end papers are a marbled blue and brown , there is a small booksellers sticker on the bottom of inside cover and quite a large book plate - plain apart from a person's name.  The next page which is blank has written very lightly in pencil First Edition { this is the 6th photograph I have showing} this writing is on the left hand side page near the edge at top.The publishing information is  LONDON  BRADBURY & EVANS  BOUVERIE ST 1850 The binding is tight, the white paper has broken away from the binding at the first pair of blank pages at the front cover. There is foxing throughout as shown in the photographs. This has some of the points of the first true version, it doesn't have screamed but it does have chapter XXVII listed in table of contents as page 283 not 282 that it actually starts on; if you require specific information about pages, punctuation, spelling etc please email with your request and I will respond as soon as possible.
