Magnetic Drain Plugs are designed to keep harmful contaminants away from internal moving components within your oiling system. Parts such as your rods and crankshaft are under continuous movement creating friction that can expel tiny metal particles. Your oil filter can only catch so much of these elements, so the rest gets recirculated back into the oiling system.

The magnet in the Drain Plug will pull these harmful particles to the bottom of the drain pan, and out of the oil stream. This results in longer engine life, and cleaner oil.
