Each beautiful box contains 1 cork float with metal protector, about 32 wax wicks with metal set , plus tweezers. Established and continuously made in France by the same company since 1838, these high quality oil floating wicks will give you over 700 hours of light, warmth and comfort. Instructions for Use • Choose a glass or metal container in which the float can move freely. • Poor vegetable oil into the container. Please remember that with 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) of oil, one floating wick will burn for more than 24 hours. • Holding the float is made easier if you raise the little metal tongue. Place a new wick in the centre of the float and set both on the surface of the oil. • After a few seconds of soaking, the wick is ready to be lit. Each wick lasts for over 24 hours. • Just blow on the wick to put it out. • A wick that has been used will burn better if you scrape delicately its tip. • If your container is deep or large, you may fill it up beforehand with water in order to use less oil - the oil will always remain on top of the water - as vegetable oil tends to lose its quality after a few days if exposed to direct light and air. If you use water, it will also warn with a slight crackle when there isn't enough oil anymore. • The oil floating wicks are perfectly safe. If they are overturned by accident, they will go out by lack of fuel. Floating wicks are used as a source of light, warmth, and as a spiritual comfort. They can also improve the decoration and atmosphere of a room. Using them is also much cheaper than using candles. With 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) of oil, one floating wick will burn more 24 hours.
