Here's an interesting old map of Shelburne, Massachusetts, with an inset map of Shelburne Centre, and a listing of Business Notices for Shelburne. This map comes from the Atlas of Franklin County, published by F. W. Beers in 1871. It is approximately 12.5 inches by 15.5 inches. Hand colored.

Most houses on the map are identified by the owner's name. Also identified on this map: Paper Mill, The Patten, Bald Mountain, The High Ledge, Arms Cemetery, Troy and Greenfield Railroad, Rowe Lot Hill, Schoolhouses, "THe BIrth place of Fidelia Fisk the Missionary," Elm Tree, Saw Mill, Stewart Brook, Hinsdale Brook, Allen's Brook, Dragon Hill, Great Brook, Hawks Brook, Shingle Hill, Shingle Brook, Depot, etc.

Condition: Paper is age browned, age spots at top of page, right margin has two tears, left margin is age spotted  ... see all scans.  (Map is a little larger than my oversized scanner so see all scans to see all margins).

I ship maps flat, in a 200 lb test corrugated folder, with a 200 lb test corrugated backer board, in a clear plastic waterproof envelope, by Priority Mail, so it will get to you safely.

A scan of the title page of the Atlas of Franklin County is included to provide information about the atlas in which this map was published. The title page is not included in this auction.
