Vintage PENTAX ME Super 35mm SLR Film Camera w/1.7 50mm M Lens & Manual Minty

For your consideration is a vintage 'ME Super' Model 35mm SLR Film Camera by PENTAX, Made in Japan. SN: 3950949. This film camera uses 35mm film and will accept the Pentax 'P/K' mount manual focus SLR lenses.

This camera is very clean and in excellent cosmetic condition overall with little wear noted.

Battery compartment is clean without corrosion and battery is not included. Battery type is (2x) A76, or (1x) DL1/3N or equivalent.

I installed fresh batteries into the camera and the shutter button fires at all speed settings although accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Speeds sound right to the untrained ear in both auto and manual exposure modes. Film winder, counter, and self-timer is working. Flash hot-shoe is working. Viewfinder is clean. Light meter is working but accuracy cannot be verified. Mirror pad and light seals are in very good original used condition. Film was threaded and manually wound through the camera, but was not processed. It is possible that additional maintenance or repairs may be required to have a fully functioning camera.

Lens is an SMC Pentax-M f/1.7 50mm Prime, Made in Japan, SN: 3609779.

Lens barrel is in very good condition with light wear to painted surface. Lens glass is clean. No haze, fog, fungus, or scratches are noted. Aperture appears to function normally with distinct stops. No oil on 6-blades. Blades are fast and snappy. Focus is smooth. Lens filter size is 49mm.

An original Pentax outer lens cap in good used condition is included.

Also included is the original Pentax nylon neck strap in good used condition and the original Pentax Instruction Manual in good used condition.

This is a nice 35mm SLR film camera that is an excellent choice for the student of photography or the vintage camera enthusiast.
