Looking to "Transportation business of the common people by the common people and for the common people," the United Association of Nationwide Freight Transport by Light Motor Vehicles, so-called "Akabo," started with several persons, including its founder, in May 1975, targeting the packages avoided by the then existing forwarders. 

In the middle of the 1970s, light motor vehicles were still powerless and called "patience cars." At that time, the Transport Ministry's decree provided the regulations concerning the "transportation business by the light motor trucks." In reality, however, this business was not so prevailing. Akabo developed the transportation business by the light motor vehicles throughout the country. 

This kit modeled the van type Sambar which played an active role in the early 1980s. Distinctive Akobo colors are replaced by decals which have been silkscreened, free from see-through coloring and no uneven color development.
