The item for sale is a linocut print that was made around 1940 based on the style.  A linocut is similar to a wood cut except linoleum is used instead of wood.  The back of a former exhibition mat attributed the print to Donald Reichert (b.1912) a longtime artist who worked in a variety of media.  An example of this print was sold by Skinner March 6, 2009 lot 90 as part of a group.  That example was signed by Reichert in the margin and was titled "At Rest".  The sheet is clean with no discoloration.  The black ink is not faded.  The print was recently framed with archival materials.  The frame is wood with a gold finish.  There is some wear to the finish.  The mat window size is 7" x 5".  The outer frame size is 11 1/2" x 10".
