Just minor binding wear, light rubbing to the leather.
The leather remains in Very Good Condition, with just light wear.
The covers remain very well attached, with no splitting in the leather.
The spine leather is in very good condition, with no chips.

The hinges are tight.
Old ink name inscribed on the front blank endpaper, and at the head of the title-page.

[ this was probably James S. Taylor ( 1786 - 1873 ) who is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery , Newark , New Jersey ]
No other writing.
No markings.
Just light foxing.
Spot of damage at the head of the "Tabernacle" engravings ( about the size of a nickel coin ), and the same at the upper margin of just a few pages thereafter.
The pages are otherwise in clean and in nice condition, throughout.

The binding recently treated with Bookbinder's Preservative-Restorer to replenish essential oils and help preserve the antique leather.
