Dial for Rolex Dato Compax - Killy Chronograph - in Excellent Vintage Condition
For sale is a vintage dial for Rolex reference 4768.
It is meant to fit Rolex movement 72C, based on the Valjoux 72C.
The dial has most likely been refinished.
It is from the famous non-oyster version of the Jean Claude Killy chronograph. Read more about it here.
This Dato Compax dial features day, date, and month. Three chronograph sub-dials include seconds, minutes, and hours. The dial also features a tachometer, which is exclusive to the 4768 unlike the other Killy chronographs such as the 6263.
This original dial dates back to at least the 1960's. It shows signs of aging, including a nice patina. The ink is very legible, and all markers are intact. The back of the dial is inscribed with a Rolex reference number: 23846. This is a very unique opportunity to own a piece of Rolex history.
