The 'Chunky Monkey' is a 5-finger Monkey's Fist Knot which has been tightly formed over a 2-ounce spherical core, then spliced back into the standing part. The bitter end also has a spliced eye for easy attachment.

Both splices are tucked back over the full length of the standing part, which concentrates weight and windage closer to the monkey fist. The result is a shorter and slightly "chunkier" profile that offers significantly improved performance with an attached heaving line.

Made from 5/16" diameter New England Vintage yacht rigging rope. Low stretch, 2000lb tensile strength. Rugged and abrasion resistant. UV stable. Rot proof and unaffected by saltwater.

Approximately 11" long. Weighs just over 1/3 pound.
