First one of these I've ever seen
This has the (rarer ?) smooth / grained red covering as opposed to the pebble finish
Cosmetically in amazing condition, cant believe it's circa 130 yrs old !
A few teeny rubs to the leather but otherwise immaculate
Internally spotlessly clean

Cant quite work out the shutter operation.  I thinks there's special knack to it . It cocks ok but is sluggish on release and appears to stick half way through. The mechanism is very clean and I cant see anything missing or broken ? Might just need some exercise or a bit of lube / adjustment.
The brass wind on tab is broken and doesn't rotate the spool.
Viewfinder pretty clear
Lens is present and looks fairly clean
Red inspection winder at the rear is intact
Locking lever which holds the 2 parts together works perfectly.

Exceptionally rare. A must have for a box camera collection. Check the various Bin prices being asked for this camera. Bidding starts at 85  DONT MISS OUT !

Please check seller feedback and ask any questions

NB: Overseas or remote uk highlands & islands, must ask for a separate shipping quote.

I try to dispatch items in good time but am often very busy and working by myself. Sometimes there may be a slight delay, particularly on big or awkward things. If you need quickly just ask and I will give it priority

Items are often vintage, unusual and collectable, sometimes  with unknown histories

While I have a fair knowledge in most of them (except photographic which is a specialist subject) it’s impossible to be an expert in everything. I try to describe accurately and thoroughly but please appreciate there are no firm guarantees as to their function, usability or reliability. It’s easy to overlook defects and make mistakes. Cosmetic descriptions are subjectivalthough feedback suggests that most of the time I get it right. Most buyers who appreciate ‘vintage’ accept this as normal but if you feel an item has been significantly mis described or are very unhappy then contact me before leaving bad feedback or opening a case. I’ll do my best to sort it out.

Many thanks
