FRAMED FLASH UNUSED U.S. POSTAGE STAMP

This stamp was issued on July 20, 2006 as one of a 20-stamp sheet of DC Comics called "Super heroes."

With the exception of Supergirl, who appeared in 1959, all the super heroes on these 2006 stamps were created during the Golden Age of Comics (the late 1930s to the early 1950s).

The success of Superman and Batman led to the creation of The Flash which appeared in January 1940 in the first issue of Flash Comics.  Young Barry Allen's life stopped the minute his mother was murdered.  Since the true killer was never found, Barry became a forensic scientist.  When a freak lightning bolt truck nearby in his office, he reached super speeds, becoming The Flash. The second picture shows a close up of the stamp.

It is on black textured mat in small brown oval frame (approximate size is 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches). Frame comes with stand.

The Stamp is UNUSED U.S. POSTAGE STAMP.      FREE Shipping
