The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission sold metal signs, for a few years, and I
bought a few as an investment. Now we'll see if that  was a good investment or not?
This sign depicts a train crossing an old bridge with a railroad car entitled PA FISH
COMMISSION written on it. The sign was made in 1999 but the years of this car were
apparently 1892 through 1914, at least that's what the sign reads. More then that I
really can't say. The sign measures 11 by 15 inches and is made of a fairly heavy
gauge metal. The original was painted by one G. Lavarnish. I believe that in 1999
this signs cost me $12, but of that I'm really not positively sure anymore. We still
sell fishing licenses at our hardware store and have done so for a very very long
time. The DENVER SUPPLY COMPANY was founded by in 1915 and is still a good
old fashioned hardware store. Items that we are now selling on eBay or will be selling
soon, are as follows: Longaberger baskets, Ned Foltz redware pottery, autographs,
sporting memorabilia, baseball, football and non sport cards, including the nicest
1963 Pete Rose rookie card that you may ever come across, comic books, coins,
old hardware items, Titanic items, license plates, bobbin heads and nodders, metal
signs, antiques as well as antique toys, some of which have their original boxes yet,
muscle car and Amish heritage sets, and other items too numerous to mention. I have
pictured a few of these items immediately following the Pa Fish Commission metal
railroad car picture for your viewing. We would greatly appreciate it if you would make
us one of your favorite vendors so you can easily and readily drop in and check out
our site and our items for sale. Please don't hesitate if you should have any questions,
as we would be happy to help you out. Thank you again for viewing.
