Used Kyosho TF-3 PureTen with rare McLaren F1 GTR Gulf body.  Very nice example of a vintage touring car with many hop-ups.  This is an awesome car for a more advanced modeler who has experience finishing bodies and setting up chassis.

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND:  You cannot run the 2-speed gear set in reverse.  No esc is included with this car and it needs one that has the ability to disable reverse.  Since it has an 11T motor, a high quality competition brushed esc without reverse would be best.  You will also want to remove the pinion gears while setting up the esc so it doesn't get run backwards inadvertently.  If you run the gears backwards even briefly, they will strip and may be hard to find replacements.  With that said I have not driven this car since setting it up as shown, only test run on the bench.

Body is unfinished and in looks good as do the decals.  There is a slight depression near the top of the windshield that can be seen in a few of the photos.  This is the Gulf livery.  I don't have the instructions however the body isn't too difficult to complete using the box as a reference.  Colors will have to be researched online to find the most accurate match.  This is a 200mm wide body.  In lining up the body with the chassis I observed the front body post holes don't quite match where the posts are on the chassis.  I'm not sure if this is due to the carbon shock towers or what, but you'll need to mark the front posts yourself, don't use the factory dimples in the body to poke the holes.

Although the chassis was run a few times, the spur gears and belts are like new.  Tires are new Tamiya radials.  Wheels in perfect shape and have not been glued.  Chassis is incredibly clean but there are some scratches on the bottom of the lower deck as you'd expect to see on a car that was run a few times.

This TF-3 possibly has all the hop-up option parts you could equip a TF-3 with...

  • Carbon fiber lower deck
  • Carbon fiber upper deck
  • Carbon fiber shock towers front and rear
  • Universal shafts front and rear
  • Urethane front bumper
  • Aluminum heat-sink motor mount
  • Center one-way pulley
  • 2-speed transmission
  • Rear stabilizer bar
  • Aluminum servo stays
  • Aluminum wheel hubs
  • Aluminum rear uprights and front knuckles (REALLY NICE, I believe these were made by Cross, they're light gold in color)
It has a Yokomo 11T brushed motor and very precise Sanwa ERG VR steering servo.

Includes box.  No manual.
