The zafu is covered with sturdy black cotton canvas filled with organic buckwheat hulls. The zafu is designed with a hook-and-loop closure so that the amount of filling can be adjusted, and a sewn-in handle for ease of transport. It has triple-sewn seams for durability, and measures 15" by 6". The cover is washable with care (remove the stuffing first!!)
The zabuton features a simple patchwork design with a stunning center panel showcasing Hokusai's "Wave," in charcoal and black, layered over black canvas. The durable canvas zabuton cover has a back zipper, so that the cover can be removed for laundering. The batting inside is enclosed in a separate muslin liner. The zabuton measures about 28 inches square, with a 3-inch loft.
