The minimum is one pair on the driven wheels but two pairs are better,

particularly if you're spending a lot of time driving in conditions where chains

are required.

A front wheel drive car with chains only on the front wheels will oversteer.
A rear wheel drive car with chains only on the rear will tend to understeer.
A four wheel drive vehicle should have chains fitted to all four wheels.

FITTING IS EASY AND QUICK AS SHOWN BELOW :

Step 1

Take the chain out of its container, untangle if needed and hold it so that

the red cable is top side with the chain hanging down.

Step 2

Lie the chain flat on the ground and pass the red cable behind the wheel,

from right to left.

Step 3

Take the two ends of the red cable,one in each hand,and pull it up to finish

with two ends together on the front top of the tyre.

Step 4

Hook the two ends together.

Step 5

Push the red cable backwards so it lies on the rear tyre wall and centre

the chains roughly over the tyre tread.

Step 6

Hook the red flat hook at the front onto the yellow front chain.

Step 7

Make sure the red cable is still lying against the rear tyre wall.

Step 8

Take the bottom tensioning chain with the rubber tongue attached and pass it

through the sprung clip.

Step 9

Pull the chain as tightly as you can.

Step 10

Pull the chain back on itself and pass through the clips if possible.

Step 11

Finally hook the tongue to any convenient link on the perimeter chain to

prevent it flapping about when in motion.

Removing: To remove the chain, follow the same steps from the last to the first one.

Attention. Each chain is adaptable to several tyres and therefore it is difficult to achieve a perfect fit without turning the wheel.To achieve a perfect fit it is normal practice to re-tighten the chains after driving 100-200m.

Attention

The use of any snow chain can distort the data which the electronic
systems of stability and traction receive (ESP, VDIM, VSC, LSD, TRC,….

and so on and so forth),this is the reason why you will have
to follow the instructions indicated on the handbook by the manufacturer

of your vehicle to deactivate and/or adapting them to chain driving.
These chains are adapted to different tyre measures. In order to achieve the

right tension, we recommend you perform the step 9 again after a short drive.
To keep your chains in top condition, wash them with hot water after using

them and leave them to dry before putting them in their holdall.
