This is an antique King James bible in leather binding. There is no publishing date on it, but it is inscribed 1801, which dates it to either very late 18th Century or very early 19th. The leather binding is brown, it was bound at the expense of The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. It measures 21cm x 14cm x 6cm and weighs just over 1kg

Item Condition: As might be expected with a bible of this age, it is very worn. Binding is worn, spine has broken and back cover has detached. Front and back page are also detached (all of these are included). As far as we can tell, no pages are actually missing, but we haven't been through them one by one. Pages are quite heavily foxed and the edges are very delicate
